During
the Summer of 1994, I was able to go to my very first shuttle launch. I was a part of a
group of students who spent their summer learning about space life sciences at the Kennedy
Space Center (KSC) in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Before we actually saw the shuttle launch, we did a variety of things.
First we found out how the U.S. goes about making a shuttle. We even got a chance to make
our own. Some people made launch pads, others made space shuttles.
