Description
Objectives:

Muscles of the rat hind limb have been used to demonstrate the effects of unloading in weightlessness and in models developed to mimic the response seen during exposure to microgravity. The principal objectives of this study were to ascertain how the vastus medialis (VM) responded to fourteen days of microgravity and if hind limb unloading (tail-suspension) was comparable to microgravity.
