Description
Objectives:

Root cap cells have been identified as the gravireceptive tissue in roots, and the directional sedimentation of root cap amyloplasts in response to gravity has been proposed as a possible mechanism of gravity perception in these cells. This study was to investigate to what extent gravity, or its lack, influences the organization of plant gravity-sensing tissues, such as the root cap.
