Description
An electrocardiograph (ECG) is the most common method used to monitor the condition of the heart. It graphically records the electrical current generated by the beating heart. The current radiates from the heart in all directions and, on reaching the skin, is measured by electrodes attached to the subject's chest. These electrodes are connected to a signal amplifier and a recording device.
