Description
Directed ground studies are ground-based research studies performed by the Johnson Space Center Biomedical Research Laboratories to evaluate and validate candidate countermeasures for flight. In some cases, due to timeliness of data, or close interconnectedness with operations or other NASA entities, the Human Research Program (HRP) direct specific studies to be done. The NxPCM and ECP projects sponsor these investigations under the Human Adaptation and Countermeasures Office (HACO) at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
