STS-135 Mission Patch

Description
Space shuttle Atlantis lifted off July 8, 2011, bringing STS-135 to the International Space Station. The STS-135 astronauts were: Commander Chris Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley, and Mission Specialists Sandy Magnus and Rex Walheim. This four person crew was the smallest crew of any shuttle mission since April 1983's STS-6. Atlantis primary cargo was the multipurpose logistics module, Raffaello, which contained supplies and spare parts for the space station. The mission also flew a system to investigate the potential for robotically refueling existing spacecraft and returned a failed ammonia pump module to help NASA better understand the failure mechanism and improve pump designs for future systems. STS-135, the last ISS assembly flight (ULF7) was the final mission of the American Space Shuttle.
