Description
Expedition 30 started on November 21, 2011 when the Expedition 29 crew undocked and returned to Earth. Three of the crewmembers of this Expedition 30 docked their Soyuz TMA-22 on November 16, 2011, during the final phase of Expedition 29. Commander Dan Burbank (NASA) and Flight Engineers Anton Shkaplerov and Anatoli Ivanishin (both from the Russian Space Agency) were joined by the Flight Engineers Oleg Kononenko (RSA), Andre Kuipers (European Space Agency) and Don Pettit (NASA) in December 2011, bringing the crew size to six. Expedition 30 ended on April 25, 2012, with a Expedition 30/31 change of command ceremony. On April 26, 2012, the hatch closed, the Soyuz undocked and landed on Earth on April 27, 2012.
